Artist Talk: Tania Bruguera and Saskia Sassen on Art and Immigration
John Bringham-Hall, Researcher, Theatrum Mundi, LSE Cities, and Pablo León de la Barra, Guggenheim UBS MAP Curator Latin America, introduce a discussion between Cuban artist-activist Tania Bruguera and sociologist Saskia Sassen about Bruguera’s research project Immigrant Movement International (IMI) in the context of her residency at the South London Gallery. IMI is an artist-initiated sociopolitical movement that engages different communities to examine the political representation of immigrants.
