Daughter – Smother (Live at Tate Britain) | TateShots
25. April 2014 14:51
Haunting music amidst the ruins in this intimate performance by the band Daughter.
‚Whether its an abandoned man-made structure or a human body, everything will eventually be accepted back into the earth, however cold and brutal it once was,‘ says singer Elena Tonra, of London band Daughter. Choosing their track ‚Smother‘ as an evocative parallel to the themes of ruin and decay explored in Tate Britain’s exhibition Ruin Lust, the band perform a late-night gig, creating a haunting soundtrack for the art on show.
